"Short Call" policy will be as follows:
When referred on a "Short Call" (14 days or less), the day you pick up your referral counts as the first day. You must re-sign the out of work list within 14 days (Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays included) or you will be removed from the list.

Inside
On the Inside, we currently have 118 on Book 1 and 40 on Book 2.
Bechtel Unit 2 project hiring freeze until Oct. The Blue Cross project has been slow coming out of the ground. We expect to add people to that job in the near future. As always, you are welcome to sign our book if you are in the area and seeking work. Our referral info is listed below. SQN outage coming in May.
Outside
Work on the Outside has held steady with full employment. We anticipate this to continue for the immediate future.

IBEW Local 175 Referral System
Effective December 3, 2007
1. Initial sign-in shall be in person at the Local Union office.
2. Referral sign-in shall be allowed at any time during normal operating hours of the Local Union business office (including lunch hour).
3. All available calls will be listed on the recorder and the website after 5:30pm each day.
4. Applicants for referral will report to the Local Union auditorium at 9:00 am (when jobs are available) where they will sign in on a "day book". You must be present to be eligible for a referral to work. Applicants will be referred for employment in the order they are registered on the out-of-work list.
5. The Local Union is responsible for filling calls in a timely manner as needed by employers. Emergencyreferrals may have to be made outside normal hours using whatever means are available to fill calls and place registrants.
6. Registrants will be allowed two (2) turndowns without penalty and be moved to the bottom of the out-of-work list for a third turndown.
Re-Sign Procedure
1. Applicants shall be required to re-sign monthly on their anniversary date. If their anniversary date falls on Saturday, they must re-sign on the Friday before. If their anniversary date falls on Sunday, they must re-sign on the following Monday.
2. Re-sign may be accomplished by mail, fax, phone, email or in person.

Discharge For Cause
Any individual who is dischargedtwo times for cause within a (12) twelve month period, shall have their future referral privileges suspended until they appear before the Appeals Committee for a determination as to their continued eligibility for referral.
